Tim Molony, AIC

Tim Molony’s adjusting career began in 1993 with State Farm, shortly after graduating from Louisiana State University. He worked on their National Catastrophe Operations and then moved to their Catastrophe Claims Central in Jacksonville, FL. In 2001, Mr. Molony joined State Farm’s Mold Or Other Fungi Team in Houston after Tropical Storm Allison. After leaving State Farm, he became an independent adjuster with an emphasis primarily in handling many total loss claims.

In 2005, Mr. Molony accepted a job with Catastrophe Operations at CITIZENS Property Insurance Corporation in Florida. He was given the task of recreating Cat-Ops for CITIZENS. During the extremely busy 2004 Hurricane Season, CITIZENS found itself as front page news, while endeavoring to handle 130,000 claims. Complaints tracked by Department of Financial Services (DFS) were in excess of 10%. The previous year’s disappointments were only compounded by an active 2005 storm Season which produced an additional 180,000 claims. By the end of the 2005 storm season, CITIZENS’ customer service record had improved dramatically, bringing DFS’ complaints down to a low 1.3%, on par or better than many of the benchmark carriers. Mr. Molony helped to implement new technology and improve workflows, processes and protocols, including aiding in the construction of the current version of CTS, Claims Tracking System.

Mr. Molony knowledge and experience in claims operations make him and excellent consultant and liaison who can assist our clients in both daily and catastrophe claims administration.

He is a new addition to Nomad Adjusting and brings more than 17 years of Claims Experience with a focus on catastrophe, commercial and complex claim management.   His extensive experience with complaint resolution, adjuster training, and litigated files make him an excellent resource for both Nomad and any of our clients.  As Claims Manager, Mr. Steelman will be fully engaged in the supervision of all daily and catastrophe claims.

Brian DeCicco

Brian DeCicco graduated from Eureka College in 1999 and soon joined State Farm in 1999 in Jacksonville, FL, where he was quickly chosen to become an agent in Connecticut. At 24, Mr. DeCicco gained the distinction of becoming the youngest State Farm agent ever. After successfully building a book of business, he opted to move his wife and son back to Florida, where Mr. DeCicco’s family resides. During the 2004 Hurricane Season, he began working for Pilot Catastrophe Services and quickly became the point-of-contact for the Liberty Mutual account. During the 2005 Hurricane Season, he joined CITIZENS Property Insurance Corporation as designated Quality Assurance Supervisor and Dispatch Coordinator and Vendor Liaison. During that time, Mr. DeCicco worked with the IT Department to improve the dispatch function in CTS, the claims management system presently used. This improvement allowed CITIZENS to dispatch over 180,000 claims during 2005 without incident.

As Field Operations Manager, Mr. DeCicco will conduct ongoing training of adjusters ensuring consistency and best claims practices. He will be closely involved in the management of any catastrophe.

Richard Newton—Field Adjuster Trainer/Marketing

Richard Newton graduated from Ole Miss University in 1999 with Bachelors in Psychology.  Immediately following, he received his adjuster’s license.

He began his claims handling carrier with Crawford and Company and worked catastrophe claims for four years.  In an effort to stay closer to home, Mr. Newton took a position with Insurance Service Offices and conducted commercial underwriting inspections.  From there, he transitioned to Alamo Claims Services where he became a Team Manager overseeing adjusters in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.  He also worked within the Quality Assurance Department of CITIZENS Property Insurance Corporation in 2005-2006.  Mr. Newton then took a Senior Field Representative position with Foremost Insurance Company so that he could again work locally.  He was quickly chosen to join Farmers Large Loss Program.

In 2008, shortly after Hurricane Ike struck, Tim Molony recruited Mr. Newton to join Nomad Adjusting.  He has been a core field adjuster, as well as a trainer for other lesser experienced adjusters in AR, FL, GA, IN, LA, and TX.  He attends PLRB Claims Conferences on Nomad’s behalf and travels for marketing across the country.  He handles many appraisals (escalated claim files) for several insurance carriers and defense firms.  Mr. Newton will be integral in successfully maintaining any contract and ensuring our clients’ policyholders will be well taken care of.

Nomad Donating to Greater Houston American Red Cross

Nomad Adjusting believes in giving back to the community, and since Hurricane Ike struck in our backyard, we sought out an organization to sponsor locally.  The American Red Cross is a prestigious and generous institution that has been around for over a century.  The Greater Houston Area Chapter has been servicing our community since 1917, and we were excited about partnering with the American Red Cross.  We look forward to a long friendship and to being able to provide them with more resources to aid them in doing that which they do best – performing great humanitarian efforts for all types of needs and in all types of disasters everyday of the year.chapter-logo-high-res-horizontal
